La prestigiosa revista Agronomy ha publicado un artículo sobre un ensayo de la Universidad de Granada evaluando la eficiencia nutricional y agronómica de nuestro BRANDT Manni-Plex Ca sobre pimiento.
El artículo, denominado ‘A new calcium vectoring technology: concentration and distribution of Ca an Agronomic Efficiency in Pepper Plants’, concluye la conveniencia de tratar plantaciones de pimientos, que suele adolecer de falta de calcio, con BRANDT Manni-Plex Ca. Según el texto de la revista, el artículo, con nuestro producto se aumentó la biomasa de los brotes, el rendimiento de la fotosíntesis, la acumulación de calcio y la calidad de los frutos de pimiento y se redujo la incidencia de fisiopatías por falta de calcio en un 70%.
Como determina la publicación, el calcio (Ca) es un macronutriente importante para las plantas, aunque su baja movilidad a través del floema dificulta la translocación a los tejidos en crecimiento, incluidos los frutos. La fisiopatía de la pudrición apical (BER) se presenta principalmente en frutos y se asocia con estrés hídrico, y especialmente con bajos niveles de Ca, lo que tiene un efecto muy negativo en la producción de muchos cultivos. Actualmente, mediante el proceso de vectorización, es posible incrementar el transporte de elementos inmóviles hacia los frutos. El objetivo de este estudio es evaluar el efecto de BRANDT Manni-Plex CA en plantación de pimiento cultivadas en un invernadero sombreado, analizando los parámetros relacionados con la biomasa, la producción y la calidad de la fruta. Por tanto, este estudio demuestra la eficacia de BRANDT® MANNI-PLEX® Ca en un cultivo con una alta incidencia de fisiopatías por Ca, como es el pimiento.
